Carolea is the name of a cultivar spread throughout southern Italy, but which has found its most widespread and used territory in Calabria for centuries.
Thanks to Carolea, in fact, Calabria is the second region of Italy for the production of olive oil after Puglia.
Carolea oil is characterized by a low acidity that varies on average between 0.2% and 0.3%.
It assumes a yellow color with green reflections, with a delicate fruity aroma in which hints of apple, artichoke and herbaceous flavors are felt.
The taste is very delicate and harmonious.
